DEVLOG 1 "The Door Problem"
- Which industry role(s) sound the best and/or worst to you?
So, since I'm a person usually orientated around the more artistic side of things, I would lean more towards the roles of 'Concept Artist' or Environment Artist' for my first choices. 'Animation' and others sound great as well. The worst ones for me are probably the 'Monetization Designer' or 'Core Engine Programmer'. I see myself as a rather poor programmer, and I believe it's universal that monetization in a game can really downgrade the experience.
- Which role(s) was surprising, boring, easy, hard, cheap, expensive, superfluous, essential ____?
The roles that I found myself kind of interested in was probably the 'UI Designer'. It's kind of important to be able to display information accurately and also leave room for the actual gameplay. You want it to be unique but also adaptable, which I find to be a neat problem to try and find a solution for. The 'Art Director' role is obviously there to help give the game a coherent style amongst many artistic interpretations, and that also is something that I feel like I would be interested in.
