I really enjoyed the spookiness of your pet! It was smooth and simple. The animations were super cute felt nice to interact with. I wish I could have interacted with the void pet more, like feed it different foods, or put the pet to bed - etc. I don't know if this was intentional, but after some time I was no longer able to feed the void. I would have liked to see more sound effects, like a noise when petting the void or when it eats. Awesome job!
The void is so cute and I wanna sink into the void and cuddle with it. This could be a very interesting idea for a desktop pet or animated wallpaper, and the center of void itself could be the recycle bin, since it consumes everything you feed it. I really enjoyed it! Though I don’t why I constantly like to consider it as a black cat and it purrs when I pet it. Wish there could be more sound effects!
Gabi! I really enjoyed this take on the prompt. The void is such a visually distinct pet that even just on it's own it just works. The animations are really cute and the music, while a tad bit too loud fits really well. In terms of suggestions I'd say maybe adding more things to do with the void would be my direction on this project. As I mentioned before the void itself is a great pet, I'd love to be able to do more with it.
The idea of making the window itself into a virtual pet is awesome, and I can already imagine a lot of interesting possibilities if you decide to take this concept further (maybe the player could click and gently drag it back and forth across the desktop to rock it to sleep). That being said, the lack of a full-screen option is conspicuous; I'd love to expand the void across my entire laptop and make the computer itself into my little buddy. There are a handful of simple, but very effective creative choices here. The airbrushed body, the way the chicken leg just vanishes into it, and the eerie hum of the audio all give this creature a whimsical, otherworldly vibe that I really enjoyed. Great work!
I love the void and I will cherish the void. Great job. Simple but well executed, perfect for a virtual pet game.
The one thing that I feel is lacking in the game are sound effects for petting and feeding the void. I know it's tricky to figure out what the void sounds like, but it does feel off when there is no audio feedback for my actions. Still since it's a void, I understand if you want to leave that slightly uncomfortable feeling in the game.
Again though, great job. I will forever be devoted to my little void.
Yeah, the slight uncomfortable feeling was intentional! But yeah, what I'm seeing is some feedback would make it better, and given more time I would've liked to implement that. I'm glad you liked it, thank you!

A desktop pet would be super cute! And yeah, I agree more sound effects would make it complete. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree, more interactions would have make it more rounded. With more time, I might've done so! Thanks for the feedback!

I love the idea of fullscreen (added it in)! And I like the idea of the click and drag being more interactive. Thanks for the feedback!
